First and foremost, I am an apprentice of Jesus Christ. I married Marana Carson in 1997 after we had both finished our B.A. degrees at Erskine College in SC. We ventured to California for two and half years, where I earned the M.A. in philosophy from Biola University. More recently I earned the Ph.D. degree in Church-State Studies (a blend of religion and political science) from Baylor University. We’ve moved around a good bit (SC, CA, TX, VA, and GA), and I’ve worked with some great folks along the way at Family Research Council, Columbia International University, and my current post, IMPACT 360. Somewhere in all of that we brought three great kids into the world, Patrick, Rebekah Ruth, and Rachel. My calling is to serve, lead, and teach Christ-followers in college how to ask the right questions about what it means to live coram deo, before the face of God, in all of life and to spur them on to build the Kingdom through service to others.
